The first step is to penetrate the clouds of deceit and distortion and learn the truth about the world,
then to organize and act to change it. That's never been impossible and never been easy. ~Noam Chomsky

Sun- Day

85 degrees in the mountains
Clear blue skies
Special gifts
Great church service
First picnic
Cassidy still with us (and still able to enjoy a swim)
Perfect.

  4. I am feeling very ambivalent about Mother's Day. Which is why I didn't write more. For me, it is a pure celebration of Ariam and all she has brought to our life. I also remember, very clearly, how painful holidays and mother's days, with all of the accompanying glowing posts and facebook comments HURT. I think it is an unfair holiday. There are a lot of women who won't be or can't be mothers. And it is a holiday that is more hurtful than helpful. For mothers, EVERY day is mother's day.
